Affirmation Celebration is the 11-track debut full-length studio album by the Toronto-based punk rock band Baby's First Pistol, released on compact disc via the independent record label Cartridge Heart.
Sonically, the album is a manic, multi-genre blend that the band facetiously describes as "fathercore," though music critics place it firmly at the intersection of nihilist post-hardcore, dance-punk, new wave, noise punk, and garage rock. Heavily driven by pulsating bass hooks, frantic light-switch guitar work, and aggressive minimalism, the record captures the high-velocity, volatile energy of the band's renowned live shows.
