2026 Remastered CD, Reissue
Remastered CD reissue of Seventh Star, the twelfth studio album by heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath (officially billed as Black Sabbath featuring Tony Iommi).
Originally released in 1986, Seventh Star was initially intended to be the debut solo album of guitarist Tony Iommi. However, due to intense pressure from Warner Bros. Records and management, it was ultimately branded under the Black Sabbath moniker.
The album marks a significant sonic departure from the band's signature dark, sludge-heavy doom metal. Fronted by former Deep Purple and Trapeze vocalist Glenn Hughes, the record delivers a distinct mid-80s blues-infused hard rock and heavy metal sound, characterized by sharp production, soaring vocals, and melodic hooks.
