Sin & Squalor is the debut studio album by the Denver-based roots sextet Clay Street Unit. Produced by Chris Pandolfi of the Grammy-winning group The Infamous Stringdusters, the album captures a blend of Rocky Mountain "newgrass," Southern rock grit, and traditional folk storytelling. The record reflects themes of sin, salvation, joy, and hardship, marking the band's transition from a local Denver act to a nationally touring ensemble. Musically, the album features high-octane acoustic performances and cinematic songwriting, led by Sam Walker’s "broken-in leather" vocals. It includes collaborations with notable Americana artists, such as Lindsay Lou.
