April 25th 2025 4CD set, expanded edition
The 4CD expanded edition of Gary Numan's album Berserker was reissued on April 25, 2025, by BMG Rights Management and Numa. The 2025 release features a newly remastered version of the original 1984 album, along with a significant amount of bonus material.
The 1984 album Berserker marked a turning point for Gary Numan, as it was the first album released on his own label, Numa Records, after leaving Beggars Banquet. The music represented a shift toward a harder, more digital-sounding aesthetic while maintaining the electronic textures of his earlier work. The album is known for its thematic focus on fictional and personal narratives, including tracks like "My Dying Machine" and the title track, "Berserker".
The 2025 4CD reissue expands upon the original album with bonus tracks from the recording sessions, including extended B-side mixes, and the live album White Noise, recorded during the 1984 Berserker tour. The 4-disc set is organized as follows: Disc 1 contains the remastered Berserker album, Disc 2 features bonus tracks, and Discs 3 and 4 comprise the White Noise live album.
