No One Was Driving the Car is the fifth studio album by the American post-hardcore band La Dispute, released on September 5, 2025, via Epitaph Records. This is the band's first studio album since Panorama in 2019. The album's inspiration stems from a police officer's comment about a fatal self-driving Tesla crash and the film First Reformed. It explores themes like existential anxiety, technology, and loss of control through a narrative structure.
