Remi Wolf's third studio album, titled Mud, is scheduled for release on October 9, 2026, via Island Records.
If her first two albums, Juno (2021) and Big Ideas (2024), lived in vibrant technicolor, Mud is described as an earthy, grounded, and raw sibling. Born out of a period of reflection following years of non-stop touring with artists like Olivia Rodrigo and Lorde, the album represents a highly collaborative, stripped-back chapter for Wolf.
The record largely eliminates synths and programmed drums, leaning heavily into live instrumentation, acoustic vulnerability, and spontaneity. Much of the album was written during creative retreats in locations like Nashville, Joshua Tree, New York, and a cabin in Big Bear, California. Working with a tight-knit circle of close friends and longtime collaborator Jared Solomon, Wolf describes the recording environment as a relaxed "family band" setup where they passed microphones around the kitchen, resulting in a project that feels like singing around a campfire.
