On their new album, All I Want Is All of It, set for release on May 8, 2026, Whitehorse say: “How much is too much to ask?” Introduced with “See the Light,” the first song out now, on All I Want Is All of It, Whitehorse find their way home, proverbially, sonically, and emotionally. The collection returns to the duo’s early folk rock romanticism, with a perspective only afforded by over two decades of musical and matrimonial partnership.
“Let’s make a record that sounds like this place,” said Melissa, with a photo of a 19th century farmhouse in hand. Made for humans by humans, this was a purposeful choice of simplicity and authenticity over perfection and complication. In their goal to capture the feel of this specific place and its history, Whitehorse came back to their own story, equally rich in myths and ghosts. On All I Want Is All of It, deeply personal, contradictory and difficult emotions bubble to the surface, encapsulated by the album’s first single, based on an internet tragedy in one act, the anglerfish-inspired “See the Light.”
