Standard CD
Pugnello is the highly anticipated fourth studio album by the Dublin-based noise rock quartet Gilla Band, officially scheduled for release on September 25, 2026, via Rough Trade Records. Following up on 2022's Most Normal, the album represents a bold stylistic shift born out of a four-year period where individual band members branched out into painting, solo projects, and touring with other acts. Self-produced by the band and mixed by bassist Daniel Fox, Pugnello pairs their signature, abrasive sonic structural damage with deeply personal themes; for instance, the single "Alogia" addresses vocalist Dara Kiely’s diagnosis with schizophrenia, while "Placeholder" explores comforting memories of childhood media.
