Tallulah is the highly acclaimed fifth studio album by the Australian indie rock band The Go-Betweens, released on June 1, 1987, through Beggars Banquet Records. Recorded primarily in London, the album represents a pivotal turning point for the band as they officially expanded into a five-piece with the addition of multi-instrumentalist Amanda Brown. Her contributions on the violin, oboe, and backing vocals brought a vibrant new layer of melodic drama and texture to the band's signature indie-pop arrangements. Straddling the line between their early post-punk indie roots and an unashamedly accessible, summery pop sound, the record delivers some of the finest songwriting ever penned by chief dual-composers Robert Forster and Grant McLennan.
