The Trews' eighth studio album, The Bloody Light, is described as a high impact rock record that returns to the band's roots with a renewed senese of purpose. Released on October 24, 2025, it was produced by the band in collaboration with Brett and Jay Emmons of The Glorious Sons.

The Emmons brothers reportedly challenged the band members creatively, pushing them lyrically and helping to draw out some of their best performances. The album explores deeper emotional terrain with a "raw intensity," delivering a blend of hard-hitting riffs, strong vocals, and heartfelt songwriting.
