Mutiny After Midnight is the ninth studio album by Sturgill Simpson and his second under the moniker Johnny Blue Skies. Recorded at Dan Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, the record is a radical departure from Simpson’s alt-country roots, leaning heavily into funk-rock, disco, and 1970s rhythm & blues.
