Clear Vinyl Reissue
Sinfonia Do Rio De Janeiro is a historic symphonic suite composed by the Brazilian master Antônio Carlos Jobim and lyricist Billy Blanco. Originally released in 1954, it is being reissued on vinyl.
This album represents an ambitious, early attempt to merge classical arrangements with jazz and popular Brazilian music forms, creating a unique "Latin soundscape". Written as a musical ode to Rio de Janeiro, the suite features lavish string arrangements and sweet choral melodies that predate the rise of Bossa Nova.
