Bursting is the self-titled debut full-length album by the Chicago punk supergroup Bursting, originally released on July 11, 2025, via the independent label No Sabes, with a widely distributed 2026 colored vinyl reissue handled by Solid Brass Records.
Chicago’s Bursting features members of Thou, Yautja, Coliseum, Stress Positions, and As Hell, but their sound pivots from the metal/hardcore/punk roots of those bands to deliver melodic, angular, late-90s style post-hardcore, in the vein of Drive Like Jehu, Jawbox, Shiner, Hot Snakes, and Pinback.
