Released in May 2025 on Friendly Records, Shinbone's Revenge is the latest album by Christian Madden & The Enemy Chorus. The record is an instrumental album led by Christian Madden, a founding member of The Earlies and keyboard player for Liam Gallagher's band. Madden is joined by an ensemble of friends and cohorts, including Little Barrie.
The album's sound is described as psychedelic funk rock, blending influences from various musical traditions. This includes the soul and funk stylings of Booker T and Brian Auger, the brass arrangements reminiscent of Chicago Transit Authority and Tower of Power, and the motorik (repetitive) and psychedelic elements of Krautrock bands like Can, Cluster, and Harmonia.
