Limited Silver Vinyl w/ Bonus 7 Inch Edition
Third Man Records is thrilled to be releasing an expanded, remastered reissue of Connie Converse’s landmark 2009 anthology, How Sad, How Lovely. This release marks the first time the album has been reissued in nearly a decade, celebrating the legacy of the pioneering singer-songwriter who disappeared in 1974. This 2026 edition is a 20-track collection (18 original tracks plus 2 bonus tracks) featuring intimate home recordings captured between 1954 and 1956 that showcase Converse's "raw, stark honesty" and sophisticated lyrics that blended folk and jazz influences years before the 1960s singer-songwriter movement.
