May 12 street date. Beggars Arkive release the long-awaited vinyl reissue of The Cult's gold self-titled sixth album, "The Cult". Limited cream coloured vinyl edition.

Fronted by vocalist Ian Astbury, along with Billy Duffy on guitar, their music needs no introduction as they have cemented themselves over the years as one of the greatest rock bands around. 1994 brought their 12-track record, "The Cult", sometimes also known as the "Black Sheep" due to the cover image. Recorded with Bob Rock in Vancouver at Warehouse Studios, it's a very personal album with a lot of the narrative subject matter referring to Astbury's younger years, and unlike their previous releases, it revealed itself slowly upon each listen. It's often considered an overlooked and underrated gem in the band's catalogue, and preceded their first breakup in 1995.
