(LP) Cypress Hill - Elephants On Acid (2LP Translucent Dark Blue Clear Vinyl) 2026 Reissue

Cypress Hill – Elephants on Acid (Translucent Dark Blue Clear Vinyl 2LP) reissue frames it as a celebration of the legendary West Coast hip-hop group's most trippy, adventurous, and experimental studio project.

Scheduled for arrival on October 23, 2026 via BMG Rights Management, this premium double-vinyl pressing marks the first major colorway reissue since the album’s original drop in September 2018.

Elephants on Acid is Cypress Hill's highly acclaimed ninth studio album. The record is most notable for being the grand return of DJ Muggs as the full sole producer—the sonic architect behind landmarks like Black Sunday—marking his first time helming an entire Cypress Hill record from start to finish since 2004.

Born from an actual fever dream Muggs had where he was a man with the head of an elephant, the project was deliberately engineered to take the listener on a heavy hallucinogenic trip without any actual substances. To capture the unique soundscapes, DJ Muggs traveled across the globe, recording street musicians, oud players, and sitar players in the winding back-alleyways of Cairo, Egypt, before returning to L.A. and Joshua Tree to cut verses with B-Real and Sen Dog. The final product is a cinematic, Middle Eastern-influenced masterclass that blends hard-hitting, rugged hip-hop loops with raw psychedelic 1960s rock elements, eerie samples, and thundering bass.
