Mere weeks before legendary singer Bing Crosby passed away in 1977, he was joined in a studio by now-fellow legend David Bowie as part of a new (and posthumously aired) television holiday special. Despite the generational and cultural differences embodied by the two stars, the strange pairing spoke to the unifying spirit of the season, and their performance of "Little Drummer Boy" paired with the then-new "Peace On Earth" has, nearly five decades later, become part of the festive canon.
