For 1964's "Samba Nova Concepçao", Eumir Deodato put together an all-star group including some of the best Brazilian instrumentalists of that time, most of whom where fluid both in jazz and bossa nova, such as Daudeth De Azebedo, Wilson Das Neves, Tenorio Jr, Jorge Da Ferreira Da Silva, and Deodato himself. The result: a team effort that produced a new sound, described in the original liner notes as New Concept Samba.
