The final piece of Bureau B’s ambitious simultaneous four-album project. Each living member of Faust's seminal 1971–1974 lineup delivers an independent, modern perspective on the band's identity. Curated entirely by keyboardist and electronic experimentalist Hans-Joachim Irmler.
Recorded entirely alone over a brief, intense three-week period at Irmler's personal Faust studio in Scheer, Germany. Rejects treating Faust as a historical artifact or nostalgia trip. Instead, Irmler treats the moniker as a vessel for ongoing, unrestricted imagination—fully leaning into the German meaning of Ungebunden ("unbound" or "unattached").
