Actress and singer Francoise Madeleine Hardy was born in Paris on January 17, 1944. She made her debut in 1960 and was launched in 1962 by the TV show “Salut les copains,” which popularized her song “Tous les garçons et les filles.” Her success was immediate and extraordinary, and Francoise became a symbol of adolescent distress among young people all over the world. She performed her songs accompanying herself on the guitar (she even wrote some of them). In the 1960s, her popularity skyrocketed, even in Italy. Here’s a re-issue of her Italian album with the bonus track Il Ragazzo Della Via Gluck.
