Limited Black & Red Galaxy Coloured Vinyl, Reissue
"Magma (10th Anniversary Edition)" is a special commemorative reissue of the French progressive metal band Gojira's Grammy-nominated sixth studio album, scheduled for release on November 13, 2026 via Roadrunner / Atlantic Records.
Originally released in June 2016, Magma marked a seismic turning point and massive commercial breakthrough for the quartet composed of brothers Joe (vocals, guitar) and Mario Duplantier (drums), Christian Andreu (guitar), and Jean-Michel Labadie (bass).
The record condensed the dizzying, technical death metal of their early discography into a leaner, heavier, and more emotionally direct progressive sound. It stands as an incredibly personal piece of art, largely written and recorded at Joe's Silver Cord Studio in Queens, New York. The sessions were profoundly impacted by the passing of the Duplantier brothers' mother during its creation, infusing the album's massive atmospheric grooves with an underlying current of grief, memory, and raw catharsis.
Track list:
1 The Shooting Star
2 Silvera
3 The Cell
4 Stranded
5 Yellow Stone
6 Magma
7 Pray
8 Only Pain
