Bloodhorse! is the fourth studio album by Melbourne-born singer-songwriter Grace Cummings, scheduled for release on August 14, 2026, through ATO Records and Sugar Mountain Records.
Recorded in Topanga Canyon, California, the album reunites Cummings with Grammy-nominated producer Jonathan Wilson (known for his work with Angel Olsen and Father John Misty). Musically, Bloodhorse! marks a bold, dramatic leap from her traditional acoustic folk roots into a grander, cinematic landscape shuddering with tense synths, dramatic string sections, and woozy, deep grooves. Her signature deep alto vocals guide listeners through raw, psychological terrains. Explaining the album's equine title, Cummings notes that a bloodhorse is expected to be a winner but can often be highly temperamental, fearful, and easily broken. The record navigates profound themes of modern anxiety, control, rage, and self-examination.
