Released on July 9, 2013, The Weatherman is the third full-length studio album by Gregory Alan Isakov. Recorded mostly in solitude over 18 months outside the mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, the album is a cornerstone of modern indie-folk, celebrated for its sparse, intimate atmosphere and poetic lyricism.
The album explores the "daily mundane miracles" of life. Isakov has stated that the title refers to the powerful, often overlooked role of a weatherman—someone who "tells us the future" while we go about our ordinary lives.
