"Static Tears" is the upcoming fourth studio album by the Dutch dark alternative pop singer-songwriter Sharon Kovacs (known mononymously as Kovacs), scheduled for global release on November 13, 2026 via Warner Music / Wolf Recordings.
Static Tears marks a progressive and highly stylized sonic evolution for the artist. While her previous records established her signature reputation for smoky, dark, and orchestral pop-noir, this album introduces a pronounced, full-throated electronic foundation. To achieve this aesthetic, Kovacs moved part of the recording process into specialized, hardware-heavy Berlin production studios, heavily integrating Analogue synthesizers, Vocoder vocal textures, and Old-school electro-pop grooves.
