When the Flowers Bloom was conceived by Lionmilk as an antidote to depression and heartbreak, channeling those feelings into a sound filled with optimism and joy. The album features a mix of musical styles, with each track telling a personal story. It includes instrumental pieces and songs reflecting his DIY roots and lo-fi aesthetics. The album also draws on Brazilian concepts of longing and loss, weaving them into its narrative. Lionmilk wrote, produced, and performed every instrument on the record himself.
