The album provides insight into the career of Little Buck (born Louis Jones Jr.), an under-recognized figure in New Orleans R&B and jazz. It compiles rare and unreleased material from the mid-1960s, a period when he worked with influential New Orleans producer Huey "Piano" Smith. The recordings showcase the raw, early sound of the artist and the vibrant New Orleans music scene of that era.
