Angel is the fourth studio album from Lizzy McAlpine, due September 18. Produced by Lizzy McAlpine, Mason Stoops and Taylor Mackall, the 14-track album showcases her most lyrically expansive and sonically ambitious body of work to date.
Following up on her 2024 breakthrough project Older, the 14-track album was recorded and produced over a span of nearly two years alongside longtime musical collaborators Mason Stoops and Taylor Mackall. Sonically, the project introduces a grander, more ambitious palette that weaves together classic elements of 1970s Laurel Canyon folk and textured 21st-century indie rock. Lyrically, the album centers around profound themes of self-discovery, heartbreak, and finding grounding through friendship and community. Its first track, "The light in the painting", serves as the introductory lead single.
