Vinyl Reissue
The Cold Sun is the remastered 2026 vinyl and CD reissue of the groundbreaking 2017 debut studio album by British alternative metal collective Loathe, scheduled for official release on December 4, 2026, via SharpTone Records and Nuclear Blast.
Originally released in 2017, The Cold Sun is a conceptual masterpiece structured as a compelling 35-minute post-apocalyptic narrative. The record follows the distinct, overlapping timelines of two protagonists navigating a dystopian future devastated by tragedy and an impending apocalypse. Musically, it showcases the band's early genius for blending complex sonic elements—weaving technical metalcore, hardcore punk, heavy electronics, and djent textures with atmospheric post-punk and progressive melodies. The 2026 reissue revitalizes this dark chronicle on physical media formats with updated pressing configurations
