¡Qué ardiente! is the first comprehensive compilation by the Peruvian Amazonian cumbia band Los Roger’s. Originally active in Iquitos during the late 1960s and early 1970s, Los Roger’s were a foundational influence on the region's psychedelic cumbia scene. This release marks the first time their elusive 1971 LP for the IEMPSA label has been reissued, supplemented by recordings from their early 45 RPM singles and mini-LPs for the FTA label. The album’s sound is characterized by deep Cuban influences, where intricate guitar work shares the stage with aggressive percussion and energetic vocals—a style known as "Amazonian musical gems".
