I Wrote You a Letter is the milestone 10th studio album by French electronic project M83, officially scheduled for release on September 25, 2026, via Anthony Gonzalez's own Other Suns label. Marking a quarter-century of the project’s sonic evolution, the record is a deliberate return to the raw instinct and immediacy of M83's earliest bedroom recordings, embracing imperfections and creative spontaneity. Recorded between Los Angeles and Paris alongside collaborators Joe Berry, Clément Libes, and Benoît de Villeneuve, the album pairs widescreen, cinematic synth-pop atmospheres with striking cover art captured by acclaimed Australian photographer Bill Henson.
