First ever pressing!
Blurring the Edges is the commercially successful second studio album by American alternative pop-rock singer-songwriter Meredith Brooks, originally released on May 6, 1997, through Capitol Records. Re-inspired to write music after moving away from the prevailing cynicism of early-1990s grunge, Brooks created a bold, guitar-driven record that went on to sell over three million copies worldwide, earning a platinum certification in the United States and double platinum status in Canada.
The record is globally famous for its monumental lead single "Bitch," a track co-written with Shelly Peiken that peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100, became a definitive late-90s feminist anthem, and earned Brooks Grammy nominations for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance and Best Rock Song. The success of the project secured Brooks a coveted spot on the historic Lilith Fair festival tour lineup in both 1997 and 1998. Furthermore, after nearly three decades, the album is receiving its first-ever official vinyl pressing, set to launch on August 21, 2026.
