July 11th 2025 Standard vinyl reissue
The 2025 vinyl LP reissue of Love Is The Message by the Philadelphia-based studio group MFSB. Released by the label Philadelphia International, this version offers a high-quality pressing of the classic soul and disco album.
The album was first released in 1973 and was a landmark for the "Philly soul" sound, blending rhythm and blues with lush string and horn arrangements. MFSB, which stands for Mother Father Sister Brother, was the house band for the Philadelphia International Records label. Their instrumental tracks provided the soundtrack for many hits of the era. The record is a cornerstone of the disco movement, with its title track becoming one of the most recognizable and influential dance records of all time.
