Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Monophonics breakthrough long-player Sound Of Sinning, now on sonically delicious green vinyl!
Monophonics proudly carry the torch of the rich musical history and culture of San Francisco through the generations into today’s musical landscape. Holding on to tradition, but by no means purists of any kind, they play their own brand of music known as "psychedelic soul". While the group's prior album, In Your Brain, saw the band pulling influences from such acts as early Funkadelic, Sly & The Family Stone, and the The Temptations' Norman Whitfield produced records, 2015's Sound of Sinning marked the beginning of the band's growth, bringing in elements of Northern soul, doo-wop, rock, and psych-pop. Showing off their diversity while remaining true to their roots, Monophonics make heartfelt music with old school vibes while never losing sight of the present.
Standouts include "Hanging On" and "La La La Love Me".
