Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka is the 1998 debut full-length album by Nile, and one of the most important early statements in technical death metal. It established Nile’s signature blend of extreme speed, dense riffing, and historical/mythological storytelling drawn from ancient Egypt and Lovecraftian horror influences.
