The Twits (Soundtrack from the Netflix Film) is a collaborative release by Talking Heads frontman David Byrne and composer Oli Julian. Initially launched digitally via Netflix Music on October 17, 2025, a special eco-vinyl LP pressing is scheduled to ship on June 12, 2026 through Mutant.
The project provides the full musical backdrop to Phil Johnston's animated feature adaptation of Roald Dahl's classic novel, The Twits. The soundtrack masterfully blends two distinct musical styles: Written and produced by David Byrne, these tracks feature his signature eccentric, catchy indie-art-pop arrangements. They include vocal turns by the film's cast, including Natalie Portman, Margo Martindale, and Euan Morton, alongside a notable duet between David Byrne and Hayley Williams of Paramore.
Composed by Oli Julian (Sex Education, Breeders), the original score is full of bouncy melodies, vibrant textures, and quirky, hard-to-categorize instrumentation that captures the chaotic, mischievous atmosphere of the "Twitlandia" amusement park.
