My Flag Is a Burning Rag of Love, the sophomore effort from the artist born Alexandra Mackenzie is out now through Pleasence Records. The 13-track album was written, recorded and produced by Mackenzie herself, and mixed alongside Alice Wilder (M.I.A., Austra).
Petra Glynt's immaculate vibrato will ravage your stereo. Here, it flits over amorphous electronic synths and shattering drum lines that propel the album at a snappy pace. Sonically, every moment is filled intricately, layer by layer, but it never interferes with the listener's ability to dance to this entire album.
