Reissue of Human Conditions by Richard Ashcroft. The album was originally released in 2002.
Human Conditions was Ashcroft's second solo album after the breakup of his band, The Verve. It continued the musical path he forged on his debut solo record, featuring grand, orchestral arrangements paired with his signature introspective songwriting. The album opens with the powerful and optimistic single "Check the Meaning," an eight-minute track that sets a poignant tone. The record also includes tracks like "Buy It in Bottles," which maintain an emotional depth, and anthemic rock songs like "Bright Lights." This 2025 reissue replicates the original 2002 UK pressing and is available on audiophile 180g double vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
