"HypernormaL" is the debut full-length studio album by the London-based electro-punk duo Shelf Lives (Sabrina Di Giulio and Jonny Hillyard). The album is a high-octane exploration of what the duo calls "electro-bass punk"—a chaotic yet catchy blend of distorted basslines, house-inflected beats, and biting social commentary. Recorded and produced by Jonny Hillyard (under his imdead moniker), the album was mixed by Matteo Buccomino and mastered at the iconic Abbey Road Studios. It leans into a "trashy-glam" aesthetic that is simultaneously meant for mosh pits and dance floors.
Featuring contributions from Danio (Fred again..), Lola Sam (Hot Wax), NIXER, and TATYANA. It also features additional production from PVA’s TechnoDaddy 666.
