Following her previous album Monsters, Squeeze Me shifts towards a more indie electro-pop sound, while still maintaining Kennedy's distinct and whimsical style. The lyrics are introspective, exploring the complexities of interpersonal relationships, power dynamics, and the quest for self-determination. Collaborating with longtime co-writer Mense Reents, the album features catchier melodies with psychedelic and pop influences.
