Originally released in 2006, Altar is a collaborative effort between Sunn O))) (an American experimental drone metal duo) and Boris (a Japanese heavy metal band). The album is known for its blend of drone metal, sludge, and experimental rock. This reissue features new mastering and is presented as a double vinyl set.
