Poet's Tooth is the acclaimed second studio album by the Lockhart, Texas indie-pop duo Tele Novella. Released on October 6, 2023, through indie label Kill Rock Stars, the 10-track record steers the band's whimsical, self-described "Medieval outsider country" into cinematic pop, gently clopping Americana, and acoustic folk.
The project is a collaboration between Natalie Ribbons (formerly of Victorian-punk outfit Agent Ribbons) and Jason Chronis (bassist of the indie-pop group Voxtrot). Produced alongside longtime collaborator Danny Reisch, the record relies heavily on analog instruments like the autoharp, acoustic guitar, and bass-driven groove lines to create an intimate, fairytale-like sonic landscape.
