Standard Black Vinyl Reissue
Dry Dreams is the second studio album by New York post-punk outfit The Jim Carroll Band, originally released in April 1982 via Atco Records.
Following the mainstream breakthrough of their 1980 debut Catholic Boy—and riding the cultural waves of frontman Jim Carroll’s legendary memoir The Basketball Diaries—Dry Dreams presents a leaner, colder, and more cinematic sound. Moving away from raw, high-tempo three-chord punk thrash, the record leans heavily into an atmospheric, keyboard-driven new wave rock.
