DON'T TAP THE GLASS is the ninth studio album by American rapper and producer Tyler, the Creator, released through Columbia Records on July 21, 2025. Arriving as a shorter, 28-minute follow-up just nine months after his chart-topping album CHROMAKOPIA, Tyler entirely handled the production across its ten tracks. Moving away from the heavy, introspective storytelling of his previous work, Tyler designed this fast-paced project to focus strictly on movement, house music, electro, and dancefloor energy.
The album's title serves as a metaphor urging listeners to stay present and stop observing life through a screen. Tyler shared that he conceived the idea after noticing people's fear of dancing in public due to the risk of being filmed or turned into a meme. By demanding "don't tap the glass," Tyler tells onlookers not to ruin the moment or make people self-conscious while they are expressing themselves. He promoted the record with a set of three simple rules for fans: keep moving, leave your baggage behind, and don't tap the glass.
