Released on June 20, 2025, Scratch It is the ninth album by Toronto-based musician Meg Remy, under her moniker U.S. Girls. Departing from the computer-based production of her previous releases, Remy recorded the album live to two-inch tape over ten days in Nashville. This shift in process results in a more relaxed and organic sound.
The album is an eclectic blend of genres, including country, gospel, garage rock, soul, disco, and folk balladry. It is known for its masterful songwriting that explores themes like the "equalizing force of grief" and addiction through a variety of personas. Remy's vocals on the album have been described as possessing a "baby-doll pout" mixed with the "down-home coo" of a country crooner.
