Rokk í Reykjavík (Rock in Reykjavík) is a legendary 1982 live compilation album that serves as the soundtrack to the seminal music documentary directed by Friðrik Þór Friðriksson. It is widely considered one of the most culturally significant audio documents of the Icelandic post-punk and new wave explosion.
Recorded over the winter of 1981–1982, the album captured a highly creative youth rebellion that forever altered modern Icelandic music. It is famously recognized for featuring a 15-year-old Björk Guðmundsdóttir fronting her early punk-pop band, Tappi Tíkarrass. Her iconic performance photo also serves as the artwork for the original release.
