Quantum Leap, Vol. 1 is an autobiographical hip-hop album by Wyclef Jean, released digitally on June 26, 2026, through Megaforce and The Orchard. The album serves as the first volume of a massive seven-album, seven-genre project called Quantum Leap, designed to span 30 years of genre-bending musical eras.
The core concept of Clef Notes is an autobiographical "literal time-travel" through Wyclef’s life. Each track is timestamped with a specific year, acting as a "quantum leap" to key moments in his personal history and the progression of hip-hop:
- The '90s Eras: Focuses on his arrival from Haiti to the New Jersey projects (1990) and the foundational boom-bap era that shaped the Fugees (1994).
- The Post-Score Success: Explores 1997, the era immediately following the global impact of the Fugees' seminal album The Score.
- Political & Future Eras: Jumps to his 2010 run for the presidency of Haiti, moving through deep R&B influences up to a fictionalized glimpse into the future year of 2030.
Track list:
- 1990 - Intro: Memory Lane
- 1994 - Boom Bap
- 1991 - Devil's A Lie
- 2010 - Mr. October
- 2011 - Winter Is Coming
- 1997 - GBTC
- 2030 - Gemini Man
- Freedom
