Vinyl Repress
Operator is the debut solo studio album by Paramore drummer Zac Farro, released under his own name. While Farro has historically put out music under his indie-pop side project HalfNoise, this album marks a deliberate shift toward more raw, un-monikered storytelling.
The record addresses universal themes of modern disconnect, communication breakdowns, anxiety, and family dynamics. Musically, Farro ditches the synth-heavy J-pop and indie textures of HalfNoise's previous album City Talk to explore an organic, '70s-inspired blend of Laurel Canyon folk-rock, exotica, and soulful grooves.
