Lux, the fourth studio album by Rosalía, is described as a widescreen exploration of "feminine mystique, transformation, and transcendence". The record, which was recorded with the London Symphonic Orchestra, is notable for its intricate sound and ambitious scope, ranging from intimate moments to operatic scales.
It moves between intimacy and grandiosity, fusing diverse sounds, languages, and cultures. The title, which means "light" in Latin, hints at the project's spiritual themes, which are further reinforced by the album cover showing Rosalía in a white nun's habit and track titles like "Mio Cristo" and "Dios Es Un Stalker".
The album includes vocal contributions from Björk, Portuguese fado singer Carminho, Spanish flamenco star Estrella Morente, and experimental artist Yves Tumor.
