Blood Hot is the debut full-length album from Toronto-born psych rock artist Tess Parks, released in 2013 through 359 Music and Cherry Red Records. In celebration of the album’s 10 year anniversary, Spirit Of Analog is proud to present Blood Hot’s first official cassette release.
This limited first edition is housed in a translucent “blood” red shell and will be hand-numbered out of 100. The album has been duplicated on premium Record The Masters SM911 Type 1 formula, ensuring a high quality listening experience unique to the format.
The original artwork from the sought-after CD edition has been faithfully recreated for a new 6-panel deluxe j-card containing photos and lyrics. It also contains a bonus insert featuring the “Somedays” single artwork and a reflective anniversary essay written by Tess exclusive to this anniversary edition.
Blood Hot was recorded in early summer 2013 with collaborators The Good People, consisting of Thomas Paxton-Beesley (River Tiber), Andrew McGill, Anthony Nemet (Tony Price) and Thom Huhtala; mixed by Josh Korody (Beliefs, Nailbiter, Breeze) at Toronto’s Candle Studio.
